A lash lift, also known as lash lamination, is a salon beauty treatment aimed at lifting and curling your own lashes from the root. Your lashes are shaped over a silicone shield, and the included tint darkens the natural hair so the eyes look more open without adding extensions. It may suit you if your lashes are straight, downward-facing or pale and you want a natural finish with less daily make-up. It adds no new lashes, does not lengthen the hair, and the effect is temporary: it softens as your lashes renew. At Nova Center in Les Corts, Barcelona, we check your lashes first, because results vary from person to person.

How it works
A lash lift is a salon treatment that reshapes your own lashes rather than adding anything to them. Your lashes are set over a silicone shield and the tint is applied in the same session.

- Active eye infection or inflammation, such as conjunctivitis, a stye or blepharitis.

What this page helps you decide
A lash lift suits you if you want to make the most of your own lashes with a natural finish and little daily upkeep. If you are after obvious length or volume, extensions answer that better, and if it is your brows you want to tidy, Nova Center offers brow lamination and brow shaping with tint. The assessment matters: we look at lash length, lash condition and your eye history, and it does not replace a professional assessment.
When it may not be the first option
- You are after obvious length or volume: extensions answer that better.
- Your lashes are very short or fragile and need to recover first.
- It is your brows you want to tidy: brow lamination or brow shaping with tint fits instead.
Questions for your assessment
- Which curl suits my lashes, given how long they are?
- How long does the effect tend to hold in a case like mine, and how often should it be repeated?
- Can I have it if I wear contact lenses, use lash serums or have sensitive eyes?
Planning combinations
In some cases several treatments may be planned together or in stages. Whether this is appropriate, and in what order, always depends on the prior assessment. We do not offer fixed packages or predefined protocols on this page.
Preparation & aftercare
Preparation
- Come with no mascara or eye make-up residue if you can.
- Take out contact lenses before the session and bring your glasses if you wear them.
- Tell us about any conjunctivitis, styes, recent eye surgery or dye allergy.
Aftercare
- Avoid water, steam, saunas and swimming pools for the first few hours.
- Leave mascara and eye make-up until those first hours have passed.
- Do not rub your eyes or use a mechanical curler on the treated lashes.
- Brush the lashes through with a clean spoolie and tell us if your eye feels irritated.
Risks & side effects
- Temporary redness or watering of the eye or lid can occur.
- Sensitive eyes and skin may feel mild stinging during application; the product is removed if that happens.
- Repeating too often, or with poorly judged timings, can dry the hair, so we keep the intervals sensible and assess beforehand.

Frequently asked questions
Is a lash lift the same as lash lamination?
Yes, they are two names for the same service, and the confusion is very common. The treatment lifts and curls your natural lashes from the root over a silicone shield, and at Nova Center it includes the tint, which darkens the hair in the same session.
How long does a lash lift last?
The effect is temporary and is commonly described in terms of several weeks, although it varies from person to person with the natural lash cycle and the aftercare you follow. It softens gradually as untreated new hair grows in, rather than stopping all at once.
Lash lift or lash extensions?
It depends what you are after. A lift works with your own lashes, curling, raising and darkening them for a natural finish with no added weight. Extensions give clear length and volume but need infills and different upkeep. We look at both at your assessment.
Can I get my lashes wet or wear make-up afterwards?
Avoid water, steam, saunas and eye make-up for the first few hours while the shape settles. After that you can go back to your usual routine, though many people find they reach for mascara far less often. We give you the specific advice before you leave.
How much is it and how often is it repeated?
At Nova Center a lash lift with tint is 55 € and the visit takes around an hour, with online booking available. It is repeated once you notice your lashes dropping back to their natural line; how often that happens varies and is assessed case by case.
Do I need a prior assessment?
We recommend an assessment to confirm the treatment is suitable and define the protocol for your case.
Can I expect a specific result?
Results vary from person to person. We do not promise a specific result.
