Acne treatment at Nova Center follows an aesthetic approach: a personalised plan that, depending on your skin, can combine deep cleansing, peels and equipment to work on blemishes, texture and the marks that acne tends to leave behind. It can be tailored to both teenage and adult acne, always adapted to your skin type and your particular moment. It is not a dermatological treatment or a cure: when your skin needs medical follow-up, we say so clearly and our aesthetic work stays as a complement. That is why we always begin with a prior assessment at our clinic in Les Corts (Barcelona), where we define the protocol, an indicative number of sessions and realistic expectations.

How it works
The plan combines, according to your skin, hygiene with extraction, peels and in-cabin equipment to support the care of acne-prone skin. It is an aesthetic approach that does not replace medical care.
The procedure
- 1
Assessment
We analyse your skin and the type of blemishes to design a realistic aesthetic plan and detect when medical care is advisable.
- 2
Hygiene and preparation
A cleanse with extraction is performed as the basis of care for acne-prone skin.
- 3
Protocol in sessions
Peels and in-cabin equipment are combined, according to the case, gradually and spaced out.
- 4
Follow-up
Home care and sun protection are prescribed and progress is reviewed to adjust the plan.
Results & timeline
- First days
An initial response may be seen, variable by area and person.
- Following weeks
Effects are assessed gradually, depending on the treatment.
- Maintenance
Periodic follow-up is recommended according to the agreed plan.

- Other conditions assessed on an individual basis.
What this page helps you decide
This treatment fits when you want to support your acne-prone skin through professional aesthetic care. If acne is severe, hormonal or needs medication, a medical assessment is the right route: our approach is aesthetic and complementary, it does not replace the dermatologist. For oily skin with blackheads and nothing more complex, the express anti-acne cleanse can be a first step. At the assessment we decide the plan together.
When it may not be the first option
- You are looking for an immediate change equivalent to surgery.
- You expect a fixed or assured result.
- There is active irritation, infection or lesions in the area right now.
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding (depending on the treatment).
- You have recently had other procedures in the area that should be assessed first.
Questions for your assessment
- Is this treatment suitable for my goal and my area?
- Which treatments have I had before and how might they matter?
- Do I have sensitivities or history I should mention?
- What downtime would this involve in my case?
- Over what timeframe could progress be assessed?
- What maintenance or follow-up may be needed?
- How is the price planned for my case?
- Is a direct booking or a prior assessment the right route?
Planning combinations
In some cases several treatments may be planned together or in stages. Whether this is appropriate, and in what order, always depends on the prior assessment. We do not offer fixed packages or predefined protocols on this page.

Frequently asked questions
How is acne approached at Nova Center?
From an aesthetic angle. We design a plan that, depending on your skin, may combine deep cleansing, peels and devices to work on blemishes, texture and marks. We always start from an assessment to tailor it to your case.
Is it a medical or an aesthetic treatment?
It is aesthetic, not medical. It does not replace dermatological care: when acne needs follow-up or medication, we recommend seeing a medical professional. Our work is intended as a complement to your skincare.
Is it for adult and teenage acne?
It is assessed in both cases, adapting the plan to age, skin type and each person's moment. Every case is individual and is defined after the prior assessment.
What about acne marks or scars?
Marks and scars are worked on specifically and, depending on the skin, may be directed to other treatments such as radiofrequency for stretch marks and scars. We assess this with you before starting.
Does it hurt and what aftercare is needed?
Most people describe it as tolerable discomfort that varies with the technique and your sensitivity. Afterwards a gentle routine, hydration and sun protection help; if peels are used, avoid direct sun for a few days. We give you clear guidance.
How many sessions are planned and what does it cost?
It depends on your skin and your goal. An indicative number of sessions and the plan are decided at the prior assessment, where we also answer any pricing questions based on what you need.
Can I have this during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
Some techniques in the acne plan are not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding, particularly certain peels or active ingredients. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, it is important to mention it at the prior assessment: we will adapt the protocol to what is suitable for your situation.
Do I need a prior assessment?
We recommend an assessment to confirm the treatment is suitable and define the protocol for your case.
Can I expect a specific result?
Results vary from person to person. We do not promise a specific result.
